Acabo de descubrir una simpática comedia romántica e independiente llamada “At Home, By Myself… with You“ dirigida por Kris Booth (No Man’s Land, 2000). Esta nueva cinta es una simpática historia sobre una chica que le tiene fobia a todo, incluso a besar a los hombres.
Protagonizada por Kristin Booth (This Beautiful City, 2007) y Aaron Abrams. Esta no es una clásica historia de chica conoce a chico, chica se enamora del chico; la variante es que la chica, no puede salir de su apartamento.
Esta es una pequeña cinta independiente canadiense que recibio buenas críticas en diversos festivales. Es distribuida internacionalmente por Mongrel Media. La cinta paso por los festivales de Tribeca, Sprockets, Atlantic, Montreal, Giffoni, Canadian Filmmakers Festival, the Nickel, World of Comedy y el Reel 2 Real.
Algunos críticos la catalogaron como una cinta que está al nivel de “Bridget Jones’ Diary” (2001), “When Harry Met Sally” (1989), “Lovely and Amazing” (2001), “Shopgirl”, y la recientemente estrenada “Adam”. ¿Ustedes qué opinan?
