La texana de raíces latinas, Alexis Bledel, es el interés romántico de los protagonistas de “The Good Guy“, una comedia romántica de Julio DePietro. La actriz que ganó fama con “Gilmore Girls” sigue sumando proyectos en cine, medio en el que decidio concentrarse tras el final de la serie televisiva. Bledel acompañará a Bryan Greenberg, Andrew McCarthy, Aaron Yoo y Anna Chlumsky.
“The Good Guy”, nuevo film de DePietro, es producida con su compañía DePietro Whitest Pouring Films junto a Linda Moran y Rene Bastian de Belladona Productions (“Transamérica“). La película se filmó en New York y se estrenará en Estados Unidos el próximo 19 de Febrero. Además, participó en el Festival de Tribeca 2009.
El protagonista del film es Scott Porter, quien da vida a una estrella en ascenso de Wall Street, novio de Beth (Bledel). Su tranquila vida se modificará cuando se convierta en mentor de un agente de ventas (Greenberg), que traba buena amistad con Beth, y que dará lugar a una serie de sucesos desembocando en un intenso triángulo amoroso. McCarthy será su jefe, mientras que Yoo se convertirá en su compañero de trabajo y Chlumsky a una amiga de Beth cuyo amor no es correspondido.
Desde el final de “Gilmore Girls” a Bledel no se la volvio a ver en la pantalla, aunque ya cuenta con dos películas que esperan estreno. Una es “The Conspirator” (Robert Redford, 2010) y la otra la comedia “Post Grad” (Vicky Jenson, 2009), donde comparte créditos con el brasileiro Rodrigo Santoro.
